The Schofield Barracks Commissary is a solid spot for grocery shopping with some great perks. The store is clean, the bathrooms are always well-maintained, and the employees are consistently helpful and friendly. The aisles are wide, making it easy to navigate, and the layout is generally well-organized. That said, one drawback is that items do get moved around fairly often, so it can be a bit of a hunt to find certain products. As a vegan who follows a whole-food, plant-based lifestyle, I've noticed that some of the healthier options I rely on have been discontinued, even though they sold well. While they can special order items, it's disappointing to see fewer healthy choices on the shelves. The produce section can also be hit-or-miss. I understand the challenges of getting fresh fruits and vegetables to the island, but this has pushed me to support local farmers more consistently. I still turn to the commissary when I need something in a pinch, but their produce prices aren't much different from places like Whole Foods -- and Whole Foods isn't as convenient for me location-wise. On a positive note, the deli is excellent, and overall, I appreciate having the commissary as a resource. Despite a few frustrations, I'll continue to shop here because it remains a reliable option and a wonderful benefit! See you on Yelp!

The commissary prices are consistently cheaper than other supermarkets in the area (Foodland, Safeway, Times). However, produce is a hit or miss, and sometimes they don't have certain items in stock (check out those empty shelves in my photos). There are self-checkout lines available (unlimited items) - perfect for introverts and those who don't want to deal with the baggers. Friendly reminder: the commissary discontinued plastic bags, but the baggers still provide services. Bring your eco bags or purchase a reusable bag for $0.35. For those who use Amex Gold, this commissary codes as a grocery store for 4x membership rewards. All in all, highly recommend to do your grocery shopping here.

Being a military family we are fortunate and it's been a privilege being able to shop here for groceries and the supplies that we need. Being from Hawaii and the cost of living so high this store saves us a lot of money on food. That being said this is the location we shop at most having it be close to home. First I love the fact that it's never super busy. Parking can always be found nearby and the lines are never long at least during the times we've went. The food selection is pretty good and it seems a bit smaller than some of the others on the island but definitely has everything that we need to check off of our list. It's clean and for the most part staff here are fast and friendly willing to help out with something should you be looking for a particular item. Really great commissary overall. Small side note: I did order a huge birthday cake at the bakery for my daughters first birthday this year and had issues with the order being lost and rude staff with bad communication there so Please TRIPLE CHECK YOUR CAKE ORDERS!

I like Schofiled commissary better than Pearl Harbor. This one seems less crowded, and cleaner. The products they carry are the pretty much the same as PH but slightly different. The produce are somehow in better conditions than PH. I still hate the self-checkout machines. They are just as bad as the ones at PH. And at Schofiled, you can only do ubder 15 items instead of 20 items, and they only have one unlimited number item self-checkout lane. At PH, they have one 40 item and another unlimited item lane.
